Selmi Xlam

The XLAM is an innovative continuous linear extruder that uses two adjustable-height rollers to produce large quantities of products like granola, protein snacks, and superfoods.

This state-of-the-art machine is ideal for extruding marzipan, almond paste, hazelnuts, peanuts, dates, oranges, and other dried fruits, as well as making cereal bars and healthy, protein-packed snacks.

The XLAM uses a temperature-controlled screw pump to shape the mixture, which passes through rollers for consistent pressure and texture. Materials are loaded manually through the upper hopper.

A guillotine cutter lets operators customize the size and weight of the extruded products. When connected to a coating and cooling tunnel, products can be coated with chocolate or decorated. The machine can produce 100-120 kg per hour of extruded, coated, cooled, and ready-to-pack products, thanks to the Selmi Flowpack WRAP 400 PLUS.

The touchscreen display makes it easy to select the extrusion format and speed. A temperature-controlled aluminum plate beneath the screw pump allows both heated and cooled operation, enabling the processing of pastes at ambient or high temperatures.

The XLAM is easy to clean with removable screws and rollers, ensuring quick product changeovers. It’s highly versatile, suited for a variety of food applications, and can be paired with a chocolate tempering machine and the Flowpack WRAP 400 PLUS for optimal productivity.
